MUTATIONS
Coki (UK / DMZ), Mumn Norm (DJ Mum b2b Stormn Norm), Yunzero, Emily Arenas Zarate & Secret International Guest (TBA)
Sun 31 Aug
MiscellaniaWe’re teaming up with MUTATIONS, Miscellania’s longest-running in-house party, for a day-to-night session of bass-heavy, body moving music.
From dubstep royalty, to one half of production unit Digital Mystikz with Mala, and co-founder of the seminal DMZ label and club night, UK artist Coki is a producer who needs little introduction. An expert selector and producer, he continually re-draws the lines between bass music and its many offshoots, from grime, jungle, D&B to dubstep. Coki helped build bass music’s foundations and continues to rewire them with every set.
Jacking up the heat are Mumn Norm, (aka DJ Mum B2B Stormn Norm) going head-to-head. Hailing from Aotearoa, Stormn Norm heads up Narrm’s Modern Hypnosis Records, a label rooted in dub-inspired music for clubs and sound systems. DJ Mum is known for bass driven jungle sets but resists all boxes, weaving between genres and tempos with effortless instinct.
Yunzero is relentlessly future-facing, a producer who is devoted to pushing underground music way ahead of its time, delivering a perfect distillation of light and shade through a prism of hazy, bass-heavy electronic music
And just when you think you’ve caught your breath, a surprise international guest enters the fold. Keep your third eye peeled for the announcement.
The party starts early with discounted entry from 4 – 5pm, and food served on the rooftop.
