  • Parking

On street parking: On-street parking around Southbank is limited, with 3-hour limits in place in many areas.

Off street parking: Parking is available in the Arts Centre Melbourne or at the Australian Ballet Centre car park. Please note both of these carparks have accessible parking. Vehicle entry and exit for the Arts Centre Melbourne Car Park is accessible from Southbank Boulevard only. The Australian Ballet Centre car park is accessible via Kavanagh Street only.

Construction continues throughout the area, so we recommend allowing an additional 30 minutes for arrival and exit. Plan to arrive early for performances, as late entry will not be allowed until a suitable break.

Please note that Sturt Street is permanently closed to vehicles, bikes and pedestrians. We recommend allowing extra time if you plan to park in the Arts Centre or the Ballet Centre carparks. Visit the Melbourne Arts Precinct website for more information and the latest updates.
