Museums Victoria is the Major Partner, Official Precinct Partner and Foundation Partner for Melbourne’s newest festival Now or Never. The Melbourne Museum Plaza bursts into life for Now or Never with a tantalising whole-of-precinct program fusing art, ideas, sound and technology. You’ll be lured into a world of curiosity, wonder and discovery with a celebration of National Science Week, a &#8220;Melbourne Planetarium Presents&#8221; program in the Neversphere, a special Future Forums edition, and unique exhibitions and events as part of the inaugural festival. The World Heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building will also fling back its doors, filling the magnificent space with a program of nighttime dance, RnB, hip hop and clubbing. While on site, make sure you also visit the fabulous Fantastic Beasts™: The Wonder of Nature exhibition on at Melbourne Museum, direct from the National History Museum in London and other great exhibitions on during this time.

Founded in 2010 in Melbourne by brothers Josh and Jake Uljans and school mate Karl van Buuren, Moon Dog began with a lil’ brewery in the back streets of Abbotsford, with the trio brewing beer in a brew house welded together from ex-dairy equipment and selling mind-blowing craft beer from the back of a ‘97 Volvo V40 station wagon.
More than a decade later, we’ve made some upgrades to the equipment, we’ve expanded our brewery into Preston, we’ve opened two brew pubs and our Moon Dog family has grown and grown, but one thing has stayed the same-brewing outrageously delicious beers and seltzers that blow minds is what it’s all about!

Nestled in the picturesque Goulburn Valley, Mitchelton Winery is a luxurious and relaxing destination that offers visitors a unique and unforgettable experience. Home to award-winning wines, the winery boasts an onsite Cellar Door where visitors can indulge in wine-tasting. With great sadness Rully Shabara will not be performing tonight due to travel delays. However, we are excited to announce musician and artist Kusum Normoyle will be headlining with support from Naarm based April Guest, delivering a sonic field guide to extreme vocal technique.
Kusum Normoyle is a musician and artist working with voice for performance, video and installation. She takes screaming, feedback, resonance and intervention and puts them to work in outdoor, gallery, experimental and dance music contexts. Her work and research is particularly focused on the relation of body, voice, acoustic feedback to audio amplification systems of scale.
April Guest is a Naarm based vocalist, beatboxer and composer. Her work focused on pushing the sonic capabilities of the human voice both biologically and technologically, as well as exploring how these two aspects intertwine to create meaning. Her live looping, ambient performances feature extended vocal and beatbox techniques to create deep, expansive drones and intricate percussive layers. She uses her raw voice as a foundation, combining it with technology to further explore our bodies’ timbral possibilities.
Active since 2000, Liquid Architecture is a Melbourne/Narrm based organisation supporting experimental, interdisciplinary and critical work addressing sound and listening in context.
